About the Educator

My name is Alexa, and I am a former public school teacher with 6 years of elementary classroom experience and 4 years of private tutoring experience. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Florida.

I currently hold a Professional Educator’s Certificate through the State of Florida, along with endorsements in Reading, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and Exceptional Student Education (ESE), as well as training in dyslexia instruction.

I’m also a mom to an energetic six-year-old boy. Together, we love learning, exploring nature, and noticing the wonder in everyday moments.
